Its been a pretty Snickerdoodle
kind of week folks. I have tasted my very first Snickerdoodle (and second and
third – that’s what happens when you leave the cookie jar on the edge of the
counter!) For those of you that don’t know, a snickerdoodle is a soft, buttery
biscuit coated with cinnamon. Totally awesome.
Not sure what is better, though – the cookie dough or the final product.
So I haven’t written in a while,
but really not that much to report. A VERY quiet weekend at home with two sick
parents. Still managed to do some
baking, though. On Monday night mummy said she was too exhausted to cook and
opened a can of baked beans for dinner. I mean really! In some parts of the
world this would be considered child cruelty. Only two things stopped me from
reporting her : the first being that my oral skills are really not as good as
my writing so it would be a bit difficult to pick up the phone and be
understood and the second was holy moly – the baked beans were GOOD. I mean why
has this food of the gods been kept at arm’s length for so long? I must have
eaten nearly a whole tin on my own. Honestly, I cannot extoll the virtues of
baked beans enough. Yummeee. On Tuesday (the morning after the baked beans supper) was my first day back at crèche. Yup, that’s right folks, I go twice a week to our local Montessori nursery school. So it’s the new school year and I could tell that the teachers missed me. I was a bit apprehensive when we arrived, its been pretty good staying at home full time, but it turned out to be an exciting morning. And I am not only talking about the day after baked beans kind of exciting. I was so excited that I did not sleep the whole afternoon or evening till 9 last night. I was pretty exhausted (but not as exhausted as the rest of the household).
Well that’s my week so far. Sleep
tight all.
