Well it sure seems like the world
is going crazy this week. Slightly less exciting at home. We have all had funny
tummies, but not funny ha ha. Its been tea, toast and early to bed three nights
in a row. Even for the world’s youngest tea-aholic its not been a very
exciting diet.
On the subject of tea - I must tell you about my drink of choice: Rooibos (or redbush, if you prefer). Its a special type of tea grown only in South Africa. Its caffeine free and has been proved to be very good for you. It can lower your risk of all sorts of things because it increases your body's anti-oxidants. Which is a fancy way of saying that your immunity is given a big boost. And it tastes great.

So after a fairly uneventful week, the first big happening of today was that my cot
was put into storage in the spare room (or the furniture graveyard as its known
in my family). It was just taking up space as it had not been used in a very long time. I’ve had my own proper bed
since May and I point blankly refused to sleep in the cot before that. If you
think about it, a cot is basically just a prison for a little person. How would
you like to sleep behind bars? No thank you very much. I was quite comfortable
sleeping between mum and dad. They did complain a lot though about how much
space I took up, hence the move into my own BIG bed.
The second big event of today: we visited the travel
agent and we are going on holiday over my birthday. Hip hip hooray. we are going to see my favourite brother and sister. Well OK, they are also my only brother and sister. Migs is all grown up and very cool and has far better taste in music than the oldies. Big brother Byron has just turned 18 and is learning to drive. Watch out road users! At any rate, we will be flying to see them. Very exciting. According to the travel lady, when we leave I will be an
infant and when we come back, I will be a child. Bit confusing this, but what
it means is that the airline only charges taxes for me until I turn 2 and after
that they charge me for a seat. Mummy says I am getting expensive and perhaps
she should hide me in her suitcase! Seriously, she can’t do that, can she?
Anyway, after booking our tickets, we
stopped at the bakery to buy bread and guess what… they had a birthday party on
the go with a great big bouncy castle. Before the word no could even be formed,
my shoes were off and I was having a party, too. Whoopee. Bouncy castles must
be one of the best inventions ever. This definitely was the highlight of my day.
Well thats my day and week in a nutshell. Dad’s gone away on business –
guess where I am sleeping tonight?
