Today is a VERY special day. Its my heartiversary. Two years ago today my heart was mended by the super duper doctors and nurses at the Freeman Hospital. I had an arterial switch operation where they opened me up and put my arteries back in the right place. Thats me in the picture after surgery. And just look at me now. Healthy, fabulous, amazing and special. Anything but normal. I left hospital 9 days after this photo was taken. Of course, I don't remember... Now I just have to viist the doctor once a year for a check-up.
As its my special day of thanksgiving, I celebrated with Mummy by sharing our happiness and visiting some children at one of our local hospitals. I helped to pack the little bags with chocolate and I didn’t eat any! Ok so I was allowed 1, but only 1. Hopefully all the children we saw today will all be home soon.
Our early morning dance
music this week has been Abba, and I even know the words to one of their songs:
Super Pooper. I don’t know the whole song, just those words. Not sure why
everyone laughs, but it’s a really popular song – I keep getting asked to sing
it again.
I’ve also learnt a new trick. If I
don’t like my food, I quickly put it on another plate and then hand back the
empty plate and say ‘finished’. A dog also works really well because they like
to share. That’s a good thing, because I have also realised the crusts on bread
are really not as nice as the bit in the middle.
So thats all my news folks. Be kind. And don't forget your hat and sunscreen.
