HOW TO TRAIN A PARENT PART II: AVOIDING THE PARENT TRAP

In my last post I wrote about having to stand firm when starting parent training. Adults seem not to listen sometimes and training them can be hard work. I have also realized they can be a bit sneaky! For example my parents have now started asking me things in the negative. But not much gets past me and I have learnt not to say anything. It is also useful to give lots of hugs and kisses. This makes parents really happy.

So here’s a quick riddle: What’s 91cm long with crocodile on its head? ITS ME! I am officially 91 cm tall. Not quite tall enough to go on the rides at Disneyland, but tall enough to be able to reach most things. Especially if I stand on a chair. Even the fridge is no longer out of reach! Although I am now being threatened with being banned from the kitchen. Oh no! Just in case this was really going to happen, I took the milk out of the fridge and hid it in a cupboard for easy access. But I have to say, mummy’s super sensing abilities kicked in and she found it. Oh well, I will just have to start thinking of new hiding places.
Its now officially strawberry season, so we are eating lots and lots of strawberries. Daddy says at this rate they will be coming out of our ears, but I haven’t seen any growing yet. That would be really funny, wouldn’t it?

Only 2 more days till I'm 2! We spent the afternoon counting and sorting Smarties for my birthday. After the few that accidently got eaten we have 918 Smarties for my birthday surprise. Can't wait to see what they are for...
