Well I’ve got quite a bit of catching up to do as it has
been a while since my last post. I've been keeping so very busy that there simply isn't enough time to sit still and write my blog. Let alone remember it all.
This morning I had my very first
haircut – mummy chopped off all my curls. Not sure what Daddy is going to say!
Between you and me, I don’t think she should give up her day job – The haircut
is not exactly straight!
On the subject of firsts, I have
seen my very first fireworks show. And what a show it was! So much fun. I also went on my second 4x4 rally in the
bush. It was really long, but I managed to have a nap or two. We finished
second – a real team effort with Daddy driving, Mummy navigating and me
providing the backup entertainment. It was a really good day out, even if there
was no jumping castle to be seen.
I can now swim all on my own
(with my water wings or noodle, of course). The deep end holds no fear for me
and I am very happy to jump in all on my own. Well, I have been swimming for
two years now, having had my very first swim when I was seven weeks old. (That is me in the picture having my very first swim). Its very hot at the moment so we swim every
single day. Conversely, though, I have found the more I swim, the less I look
forward to having a bath. Not sure why this is, but Mummy says that it leaves
more room for her to have a bath on her own.
The hot weather also means that measure need to be taken to cool down. My favourite way of colling down has to be ice-cream. Unfortunately the freezer has now been taped shut - and no amount of shouting and screaming has resulted in the tape being removed! I have had to explore alternative forms of entertainment and anything electronic is always appealing. No matter how many times the camera gets hidden, I always manage to find it... I have only jammed the lens a few times and am getting quite good at
taking photographs. This can only be a good thing as the term “selfie” has been
acknowledged by the Oxford English Dictionary people. (This is supposed to be a
big deal). At the moment I am still relying on other people to take documentary
evidence of my feats, as my camera skills are somewhat limited to taking
pictures of the floor or my ears, but I am sure that soon I will be a pro and
post my very first selfie.
So that pretty much sums up my
adventures of late (in between dancing, singing and keeping everyone one their
toes).
